Tranny, O/D light, speed sensor?

I have a 94 4runner, 4x4, automatic, V6. I bought it just a few weeks ago knowing that the speed sensor was out. Now that it has gotten colder, it has a slipping feel to it. When I accelerate, it stalls some in the first couple gears and then takes off. Sometimes the O/D light flashes as well. Could this all be related to the malfunctioning speed sensor?

Yes, a malfunctuoning speed sensor can cause shifting problems. The computer uses Throttle Position and vehicle speed to determine which gear to select. Pull the codes of the computer. If your OD light was flashing you should have a stored code.

Hi

Hi, check your speedo cable that goes into the transfer case. Mine was broke and the od light would flash when I was driving sometimes. It shifted fine though.
