87 22R-TE

Was taking the TB off to adjust the TPS and noticed some oil in the intake line before the TB gate. Took off TB and inside of plentum is SOAKED in oil, nice fresh wet oil... Took plentum off to further investagate and found puddles of oil in all four channels running to the cylinders.

Truck doesnt seem to use much and smokes very little. I did just did a 'Seafoam' treatment and added a oil breather to the top if the valve cover*. Was going to clean everything up before i put it back together but dont know if its worth it if its only going to do it again. Anyone else have this problem? Other place oil could come from?

I dont want to rebuild the turbo, if i go to that much trouble ill put the CT26 i have on there. Unless i can just add a quick seal to stop this. Thoughts?

*When i did this i noticed oil in my intake between the air filter and the turbo, thought that was the sorce.

i know my N/A 22re has a pretty darn grimy intake manifold. clean it up and slap er on there, if its not burning it at an alarming rate its prolly a non-issue.

nice avatar. everytime someone new gets in my truck i have to tell them. . . . . "Get In" then explain how i forgot about the beer and offer one and then ask about some ether yada yada yada. moral of the story is, they never get it. they arent properly educated

 

is there oil in the tube from the turbo to the throttle? if theres lots of oil there the turbo seal may be going letting oil in there or oil can be getting in from the valve cover breather
