Toyota g54 rear output o-ring leaking
Originally I thought it was the rear output seal leaking then I looked around and found people saying it's the o-ring that fails and causes a small leak on the slip yoke area.
I'm guessing just get the o-ring from Toyota but has anyone here replaced that o-ring?
I've never taken off a driveshaft and had to re-install it..... I just know mark the points where it connects so it's not out of balance. Any advice?

you shouldn't have to separate the driveshaft from itself to replace the rear seal on the slip joint, just remove one end of the driveshaft and tie it off to the side.
bolt the yoke to a bar so that it doesn't turn, mark the big nut and/or count the visible threads, then bust it loose, the yoke should slide right out.
i'm not familiar with the o-ring situation, on my trans the slip teeth have to be greased heavily... my trans had one of these, it's on sale right now at marlin: https://www.marlincrawler.com/transf...ar-output-seal

Thanks again OSV.
I called Marlin crawler and they told me they don't have a seal for my truck (2wd) and I could just get that at a autoparts store. I'll just get it at the dealer.
Would I have to replace a u joint or anything else when I separate the driveshaft from the slip yolk?

i've never worked on 2wd toyota, i forgot that's what you had, so it could be different.
fwiw, if it's a longbed with the carrier bearing, i've seen a number of posts about that, not sure what to look for.
you never know what you'll find under there... my truck had the caps on the ujoints in the cv welded to the yoke, and then the p.o. let it run dry... i ended up having to replace the entire driveshaft.
