Talking Torsion bar trouble

Hey guys, I've got maybe a dumb question, but I'm not seeing anything available so far. I'm lookin into doing a small lift on my front end, and I'm not ecstatic about my options with the torsion bar setup. I've got a pair of ball joint spacers from Fat Bobs but I'm worried about my ride quality. I also have of course run into people suggesting that I crank up the stock torsion bars, but that seems like an even worse idea. I would have imagined much like leaf springs that you could get stiffer torsion bars to get more lift but I haven't found any yet. I'm not looking for the 4-6 inches I would get from a bigger kit, so I'm wondering what people do for a 1.5-2 inch lift without sacrificing ride quality? I'm also tempted to replace my torsion bars anyway since my truck has always had a slight lean to the driver's side. Thanks in advance!

NWOR makes torsion bars still. These may still be stiff if you dont plan on adding a winch/bumper. https://www.northwestoffroad.com/parts/torsionbars.php

Other companies like OME and swayaway used to make them too, but not sure if they still do. Not much aftermarket support here for small lifts anymore, most companies are focusing on Tacoma's these days.

the BJ spacers are probably your best bet for small lift, besides just cranking up the bars.

You may be able to adjust the keys to get rid of the lean.

Mine had sway-a-way bars on it when i got it. With no winch or heavy bumper, it was too stiff. I went to stock bars and a ball joint lift. I think that is the best option for a stock feeling ride.

i guess it all depends on why you want a lift. almost any modification you make to the suspension will sacrifice some aspect of ride quality. BJ spacers do, and create added stress to the front end components.

i am able to fit 32x11.5/15 tires on my 1st gen running completely stock suspension. no rubbing on the street; no rubbing when wheeling it.
