I just bought a truck with a 4" bracket lift. The driver side front was an inch lower than the passenger side. I adjusted the torsion bars to level it out. The trouble is I had to adjust the driver side as tight as it will go, there are no more threads to turn on the bolt. The passenger side is barely tight at all. That isn't with the arms cranked way up either. It's with the arms horizontal. I'm not bothered by that in itself, but I know that if the driver side drops again I can't do anything about it short of replacing the torsion bars. Are these probably my stock torsion bars or do bracket lifts come with new torsion bars? Do I need longer than stock torsion bars? This thing doesn't flex in the front AT ALL off road. I know they don't flex very well, but I'm talking NOTHING. If I don't NEED longer torsion bars with this lift I'll get some stock replacements. Maybe that'll straighten out the uneven adjustments and loosen up the ride a little. Yes, no?

 

Sounds like someone didn't get them back in the splines the same on the cam arm. Or something else is wrong with the lift.

 

You can't get longer torsion bars, just thicker diameter. IIRC, those bars only go into the cam arm one way... If they're that outta whack, then it might not be a bad idea to replace them.
