top seed??

I jut put a remanufactured 22re in my 86. I got lce headers, and inake, with a crane cam. my top speed is about 60 to 65 mph. I think I should be able get at least 70 out of it. I also have 32in. tires and 4.88 gears. I have the timing at 5 degrees btdc. any help would be awesome. thanks

That doesn't sound right. I'm running stock everything and 31/10.50's on 4.10 gears and I can still hit 90 in my '85 22RE

what RPM are you at when you hit an indicated 65mph? since you have 4.88/32s, your speedo is reading slower than your actual speed - are you adjusting for this?

I have a stage II engine from 22repreformance, with 4.11 and 235's.

Can do 80 in 5th gear and still have about 2000 rpms of pulling power left. It's scary to go much faster than that.

I can keep 70 in 4th gear going up a 7% grade, 8 miles long, with no issues.

I should note that I start losing oil pressure if I keep it At 90 for more than a short distance

Without a Tach and a GPS it's really hard to diagnose.

Does it sound like its about maxed out by just listening to the engine? I can hit 75 without pushing it whatsoever and my motor has 300,000
