I have a set of offroad lights on my tool box and they arent working, usally in order to get them to work i would have to push my tool box back and forth , and get them to ground better and then they would fire up. now they wont turn on at all , i checked every connector , the fuse, o btw the switch for the lights works fine . is there a possible way they are blown or something because of my tool box not haveing a good ground

 

get yourself a 12v test light at benny's, there about $5. it will help you troubleshoot a lot!

 

yeah try using a good ground! run a ground wire from the lights to somewhere on the frame/body.

 

If you have a ground problem then use a chasis ground (frame) or just run a second wire from the Neg. Batt. Terminal and not worry about it
Get a ohm meter (you will need it again) and ohm the bulbs , that will tell you if they are bad and you should also pay close attention to the wiring requirements for the bulbs , should they be wired in series (most common) and if so are they in series ?
The way they are wired can change the amount of current they draw and effectively kill them .
