Used one? yeah right, I can't even find a new one. Someone had a new one but they had it listed for I think an 85. looked like the right one, but they told me it might be different because of the spring setting might be different through the years.

Mine is electric too. what you mean funny, as in erratic or high idle? I thought I had a vacuum about a week ago and turned out to be the connector plug wires on the carb were backing out not connecting with the harness side. couldn't tell with the connector together. Just a freak thing i noticed when I pulled it apart to see how it would idle without it connected. Try that while your at it too. unplug that green connector and see what happens.

i done did..the choke works fine and the fuel bowl vent is not important..and i have my fuel cut solenoid wired directly to the ignition...

that's how i figured out my fuel cut solenoid was not working lol

and when i say idles funny...i mean like..it won't idle at all..or won't idle very good unless i keep my hand partially overing the passenger side barrel..

Some days I hate my carb and some days I love it. adjust the choke on the back or give her a turn on the fuel screw...

haha, yea i just rebuilt my carb like 3 weeks ago cuz the choke wasnt working and i figured while i had it apart......but its realllllly not that complicated, you can even take the top part of the carb apart and get to some of the jets n such to blow them out...or if ur idle mixture screw is open you can just give it a crank or two.....their supposed to be blocked....or that might be just the mixture screw....

sounds like your fuel mixture is off to me. take the cleaner off look down the barrels and see if there both putting fuel in or not.

yea i know which one the mixture screw is Yoterr LOL!! whats that "screw" thats right above it...i've seen that turned out about 1/2" on some trucks..and mine and yours is all the way in???

and thanks for the pic dude...im gonna get rid of some more of my vacuum lines with that pic LOL!!! like allll the metal vacuum lines lol

and no Broncrider..only the passenger side barrel is getting fuel at idle..although when i get past about 3/4 throttle then the driver side barrel starts squirting...just like it should lol

i took the top off the carb..adjusted the float a bit more..squirted EVERYTHING out with compressed air at 100PSI LOL!! and i replaced the o-rings on the venturis with some smaller ones in hopes they were part of the problem lol

*EDIT* and i haven't been able to start it yet...i need a new battery...lets just say that 20* cold..and a thin plastic battery+me hitting it on accident=a big hole in the top of it......

bahahaa nice one dude, yeah i guess the screw right above it is the mixture screw, its got a brass dowell stuck in it so it cant be adjusted unless you drill it out, fun stuff, and yeah i got rid of all my stuff but i still havent figured out how to get the AAP to work when cold, i think i need a new vsv or whatever, mines only got 2 hookups and the diagram that i used had 3, one at the top was coming from the intake mani, then one below that went to the choke pull off and the bottom went to the AAP, guess it changes vac routing when the temp changes....you need more pics lemme know, i gots some

oh i can start it no problem..it just idles like shat because it's running too lean

well yoterr..now im confused..

the bottom screw you have circled in blue is the idle mixture screw..but i wanna know what that is thats RIGHT ABOVE IT..i have no clue what it is..i can't turn mine at all

and as far as i know you don't need the AAP...mines hooked up but i'm almost positive you can just unhook it and be done with it lol

haha nice, and yes the one i circle is the IDLE mixture screw and the other is the MIXTURE screw...i think i got it right...the idle mixture screw only changes the idle mixture once you hit the accelerator its different? hence the need for the other, and the reason you cant move it is cuz thats the brass plug...if you gots a hanes it tells ya how to take it out n stuff...and yeah it works without the AAP but when its really cold i gotta goose the throttle a couple of times before i can let out the clutch or it just dies....at every stop light till she warms up a tad, and theres.....8 b4 i get out of town....
