Time to store the 86 for the winter, I will be starting it over the winter but what are some other precautions that might be good to take?????

Stabile in the fuel, a battery tender, and keep tabs on the tire pressure

This thread reminds me of something. Years and years ago a friend of my fathers bought a Gran Torino out of the papers that was listed as being "garage kept in the winter and driven only on sunny days". The dang thing didn't run when he bought it since the oil was only changed every 3000 miles (about once a year) and stored for long periods. Turns out that thing had a 429 Super Cobra Jet in it and a factory Detroit rear end. Got if for almost nothing...

With that in mind you might thing about a fuel stabilizer and maybe changing the oil/filter before you store it. Also put some rat bait in the inside under the dash, under the hood etc..... keep those little deamons away from the wires and grease all the zerks.

Drain the oil, and fog the engine with WD-40 or engine fogger (pull the plugs ,turn the can upside down and shoot it in the plug holes, reinstall plugs, and do the same for the intake) thats what we do to race motors down here in the winter.

+ everything else mentioned above
