Time to brag...

Hi Guys and Gals,

Long time reader, haven't posted much. My T4R hit a milestone the other day and I wanted to show her off a little. 300,000 miles!!! I've owned this truck since 1992 and have been driving the hell out of it ever since. It's never let me down, NOT ONCE!!! I've had to put some money into major repairs like new tranny, rebuild the rear axle, new A/C conversion, ditched the original auto-locking front hubs for WARNs, gone through a couple of windshields, a little paint here and there, but the original 22RE still gets me where I need to go. The exhaust header is cracked, front main seal leaks, might have a rod knock, burns some oil, but she's still gettin' down the highway at 80mph. If I've ever loved a vehicle, it's this one.
Don't even ask, she ain't for sale!

I love Japanese people. ^_^

Hahaha, nice runner. If you ever want to re-do the decals on it, go here:

wow, your in Charlotte too! I can get a discount at some NAPA auto parts stores, let me know if you need a favor or a hand with some wrenching!

2nd edit - I always wondered what toyota's those wheels came off of. I got a set of those for $50.

for some reason these pics are loading on my screen....can anyone see them?

Man, after reading your post I was expecting a "beater" lookin' truck. That thing looks awesome.

I've been seeing more and more lifted 1st gens in Socal and I'm fallin' in love w/ them. I think they look great stock but way better, lifted. I think we have a lot b/c we don't have any issues w/ salt or rust. Maybe I could pick one up one day for a project...

No kidding!

Your truck looks darn-near brand spankin' new to me! Did you pull off the road just to take a picture of your odometer at exactly 300,000 miles??

Yep, I sure did stop to take the pic right at 300K. Nearly had to pull over in a ditch to get it right with all the zero's, got some funny looks, but wtf, I doubt I'll ever see it again! I'd been anticipating it for some time and was ready when it rolled over. Took the back roads that trip just for that reason.
And yes, I do still get around 22 mpg on the highway. My in town mpg's aren't that great, maybe 12-15 mpg. Lots of stop and go here in Charlotte. It runs rich due to the header problem and the confused O2 sensor. I intend to put a reman. 22RE and header in soon which will tighten all that up. She'll be good to go another 100K then.

Now you should do a calculation to find out about how much money you've spent on gas over the years. :-) I'm sure previous years gas price averages are on government websites somewhere.

...Sounds like a calculus problem to me. I think that would require a double integral
