ticking problem.. (not original valve tick)

alright so i have a 95 22re with 215,000 miles on it, and the other day i changed my spark plugs and i put in NGK's. after i was done with that there was a majfor ticking sound coming from the engine area...i was a little bit low on oil so i filled that up, but that didnt do anything... i have no idea what this could be because it wasnt doing it with the old spark plugs in. any help or info is appriciated.
oh and it only ticks when i move forward..?

nevermind that, the last spark plug.. the one closest to the inside of the car never went in all the way. and i cant get it to go in all the way, the others went in just fine by hand, but i can only get like 3-5 turns in, and when i pull it back out there is no metal shavings coming back out with it so i dont think the threads are all messed up.
