Ticking noise after injector service

I just had the injectors serviced on my 3.0L. Had new tips, new nozzles, and new glow plugs fitted. When i was leaving the mechanics i got half way up the road and the engine coughed/missed a bit. Was kinda of like there was a prob with the diesel getting through or there was a blockage. Ever since that's happened there is now an annoying ticking noise coming from the engine. The sound of the ticking increases as the rpms go up and as you accelerate. Can't here it when the car is just idling. Have read some other posts and some ppl think it could be the injectors and some ppl the valves. Why would it be the injectors if i've just had them done. The old injectors were silent !!

I know next to nothing about diesel (apart from owning a 1952 International tractor ) however I heard that if you run out of diesel you will get some problems for a short time (usually smokes with white smoke, runs rough etc.) I assume your injection is solenoid driven or is it mechanical? I would drive carefully and see if it goes away. You haven't touched valves, you have cleaned injectors - so it is more likely to be injector issue.
