Thorley Tri-Y Q

I've installed my tri-y and realized the header doesn't have holes for the #2 secondary air injection manifold (SAIM) to be put back on. I know thorley has the option of a header to accomodate this but the header came with the truck when I bought it, (uninstalled) so returning it isn't an option. Can I use a block plate at the #1 SAIM to block it off? I found some pictures during my search that looks like people have done it. FYI, the SAIM ultimately goes through the PAIR valve and to a resonator and I'm not sure if these are essential. It needs to pass emissions too. Any ideas?
