Was talking to another Toyota person about my AC retrofit and showed him the valves I took off my old compressor. He said these are r134 valves. I have no idea and the sticker on the truck says it was originally charged with r12 and the drier has a sight glass. My buddy I bought the truck from has since passed so can’t ask him.

 

They are R134 type service valves.

My 1995 4Runner equipped with R134 from new has a sight glass.

 

Well that’s fun. Guess I bought new ones for nothing.

New ones here. They looked similar but I’m ignorant on AC stuff.
