Can this possibly be correct that they only sold 3, 635 4runners in 1987?

 

those are the numbers i've seen. don't know if they are correct.

 

I've been woundering about production numbers. That seem way to low. Maybe for one state, or small country?

 

Can’t be...’84s are very rare. They couldn’t have made more 84s than 85, 86 or 87’s.

 

Why is it so darn hard to get the production numbers? Somebody has to know... or maybe not?

 

Couldn't get Google to turn up the "how rare" thread, where someone posted the database of registered Toyota vehicles.. It just turns up useless threads (mine..)

 

TMS (Toyota Motor Sales USA) is a publicly traded company, and their monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports break down sales numbers by model. The monthly financial report dealers submit request that very information. Maybe try their Investors website and see if reports go back that far.
If you run across "TMC" that's Toyota of Japan.
