Is there a 4.56 e-locker out there?

I have stock 4.56 gears in my 92 pickup and I have searched for three hours and, maybe i am blind, but i haven't seen any mention of a tacoma elocker with 4.56 gears. I think this would be an awesome mod for my truck but I dont want to have to switch gears $$$$$ especially to lower gears for it.

4cyl auto tacoma trd, very rare. What are you looking to spend on a e-locker?

There is a part number for them. If you get a hold of an elocker I will soon have a rear oem 4.56 r&p to sell.

Before ya'll go confusing the poor guy....

The Tacoma never came with a 4.56 locker option.

The 4Runner, however, DID have a 4.56 locker option. As mentioned, very rare. It was only in the 4cyl autos with locker option. Had to be special ordered, but was available.

My nationwide locater shows a few available in CA, OR, and Arkansas.

You can also check at car-part.com, but be sure to search for 98 4Runner, not 98 Tacoma.

Are you talking about dealer-daily?

I've replaced the differential on a 4.56 auto taco. You sure? I'll check the parts computer again and double check.

If your pickup is a v6 you should be able to swap your stock gearset into the elocker carrier...

It just takes a bit of know-how. And a solid pinion spacer would make things a bit easier too.

Thanks for all the info guys. It sounds like if i want to do it anytime soon without years of searching for a 4.56 e locker third member to swap in i am probably better off saving up the dough and getting a detroit like BigBlock or an ARB maybe. I think the money will probably go other places first though I.E. armor, tires, and a few suspension upgrades.
thanks again.
