someone decided that after ripping off a hundred bucks or so of stereo they'd just push the truck into a rock field to hide it. i'm out a mint 94 w/ 68K miles on it--insurance totaled it out--they got a cheap ass pioneer.



picked up an 03 taco, but before i go to the other forum i wanted to say thanks for all the help from everyone here.
i'm finding parts i don't need so i'll pass them along as i pull them out. if anyone wants stock taillights or front turn signals, pm me and you can have them for ship cost. also, got the original cam, 60k on it (i put in an eb) and it's yours as well for ship. i'd prefer the stuff go to someone who can't afford much.
the least i can do for years of assistance from the group. thanks all.

Thats a real pisser, Sorry to hear it. I hope you find a real cherry replacement. Post up what you would like when your ready and I'm sure everyone will help you in locating one. MEAN PEOPLE SUCK especially the pricks that did this!

 

sorry to hear. i just got broken into as well....smashed out my xtra cab glass after they f'd up my lock and couldnt get in.....all for....... $2.00 in change.

i put in the 268, but if you want an opinion, go with the crawler instead. i didn't see the range drop as far as i'd hoped.
if anyone is near denver, a grand could pick it up. motor/trans should be fine. they tell me it'll go up as salvage somewhere in the area.

naw, just moving to the 95+ taco forum. the thing that's nice here is that come hell or high water everyone is going to keep these "older" rigs runnin, and runnin well! there's a passion here that reminds me of the 60's (yes, i'm that old!). AND you can work on these, beautifully basic. i pulled the motor a year ago in the driveway, piece of cake. not sure this '03 v-6 will be as easy--well, it sure won't be as light.

 

insurance company has that, i've just got the stock cam.

 

Sorry to hear about (and see) what that $!@#*& did to your truck! That would anger me for the rest of my life to no end. I just had a 100$ stereo item and my sunglasses taken out of my truck on the weekend. I'm lucky they didn't damage anything. Usually I don't replace any non vital parts, but is your driverside corner light (the triangle one) still good? I might be nice to replace my cracked one if shipping isn't too much to Canada.

yeah, i figured it was the last truck i'd ever buy, and was slowly getting it ready for some serious off-road. was a surreal day to say the least.
