Temp And Oil Gauge Problems

I have a 1992 Pickup with the 3vze and every once in a while the oil temp will go to high and the coolant temp will read cold and this happens at the same time. It will happen after ive been driving for about half hour and usually the gauges will return to normal positions after about 15 minutes or so. This has been going on for the last few years and recently I had a rebuilt engine put in my truck with new sensors and it still has the same issue with the gauges. Please help thanks.

My '94 does not have an oil temp gauge, just oil pressure and water temp. Do you have an after market gauge? Is this just a different configuration?

If it's really the oil pressure that's rising, you could just have a bad thermostat. The thermostat sticks open, the water temp drops, and oil viscosity rises raising the pressure.

No it just has the stock oil pressure and water temp gauges. Sorry for the mis communication.
