temp gauge not working 22re

Hey everyone! I just got my engine back in and my temp gauge isn't working anymore. as soon as I start it up it goes right to the middle or sometimes nothing at all which is starting to bug me. any ideas on what this could be?

No that one.
Temp gage sender/sensor is ON the intake manifold, kinda hidden. Hard to get to.

The green one on the front intake is temperature sensor for the engine computer.

The temperature gauge sensor is behind the thermostat housing.
