take out jump seat?

I would like to take out one of the fold down jump seats in the back of my '94 x-cab to have a more solid platform for4 my subwoofer box. I figured it'd be dead easy but I'm having problems. Anyone have any input?

Where exactly the hinged part mounts. Is it behind the back cushion or something? I dont want to break anything in the process and I feel dumb, it seems incredibly easy.

I took the back cusion off to put faom behind it, major improvement with road noise by the way. I might be remembering this wrong, but the hinges bolt behind that and you have to take the plastic cover off the top, then unbolt the seat back cushion. Then you can lift the cusion off and access the hinges. I can't remember if taking the hinges out also removes the cushion mount but it is pretty easy to take all that apart.
Just start at the top.
