switching to 4-port injectors

Hey'all. I changed out the valve cover gaskets in my 3.0L V6, and figured while I was at it, I'd change the injectors because they're looking tired, plus I found 4-port injectors on e-bay for pretty cheap. So here's the question: The new injectors sit in the "grommet" shallower than stock, maybe 1.5mm shy of flush. The stock ones jut out past the orifice. For those of you who have done this, is that normal, or does there need to be some modification to have the injectors sit lower. I will post a picture once I figure out how.

New one is on the left (Looking at it again, maybe it's 2mm short of being flush.). Old one is on the right.
