Sway Bar

I was wondering why my 1986 2wd pickup does not have a sway bar because there is tons of linkage kits but no actual sway bars that i could buy. Not that having a sway is bad other than it creates some gnarly body roll. But i do enjoy the added flex without it even thought it is 2wd. I am just wondering if there is a reason there isn't one and if anyone knows more about it.

Sounds like the previous owner(s) have removed it. All the 2WD trucks came with sway bars.

Im pretty sure the sway bar was not removed. Because it was my grandparents truck and they used it to haul small loads and my grandma used it as her transportation. Plus i can't find the spot where it would mount up to?

2 12MM bolts to the frame behind the A arms, then links and connects to the lower A arm.

why it was removed? who knows....
replacement would be cheapest at the junkyard.

but if it's not causing you issues I wouldn't worry about it.

if you cant find one at a junkyard, hit up DC (the first guy to respond to your post)...
he works for NIX99 and can get you whatever you want for your truck...
