Utah Kid I really like the way yours looks, how much did that cost you? I looked it up and I found a kit (don't know if it was yours) for $1,200. I really hope it isn't that much because that's almost an SAS swap right there.

That's a 95+ 4Runner. He posted it in the wrong section.
Apples and oranges.

You can give ToyTec a shot. That's where I got mine but, there are others on this site that also sell them as kits.

There is noting wrong with going with BJ spacers, that's what I have and I went with new shocks all around and my 4runner already had larger heavier springs in the rear which brought the rear way up (it was funny looking). With the ball joint lift and some torsion bar work you can get 2.5"-3". You'll also need to drop the diff about an inch so you don't jack your CV's and then drop the sway bar accordingly to the drive line doesn't hit. 4crawler has really good info on the whole process. My lift was perfect for what I needed and fit 33 12.50's just fine. I did do some grinding so there would be rub issues when flexing a little on a hard turn. I went with 15x10" wheels with 3.75 backspacing which worked out great. If you go 33 12.50's you should consider going with 15x10" wheels for sure...But do check out www.4crawler.com, that guy's got all kinds of great info on everything...

Hey MalachiRunner, is your profile pic the runner with the lift you described to me? It's lookin good! I like the sound of the BJ spacers, new extended shocks and some stronger coils in the rear, it's sounds inexpensive but how durable is it and how does it do when you're crawling over a rock or driving in general? Could you explain to process of backspacing to me?

Yeah that's the one in the profile pic, thanks. The BJ spacer lift does fine off and on road. There are lots of guys that stick the "lift as much as you need, but as little as possible". You'll get 33's on there no problem but you will need to make sure you have the proper backspacing on your wheels if you go with a 33 12.50. And if you go that route i highly recommend the wider wheel (a 15x10") otherwise you wont see the full width of the 12.50. Go to www.4crawler.com and type in Ball Joint spacer and follow all the info. That guy has tons of information regarding all the questions you have and has some very in depth reading material. You can also buy parts from him as well. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Are you planning on doing the lift yourself? do you have manual or auto hubs right now?

I've got auto but I'm planning on getting manual, hopefully I can find some that aren't $550 =). I don't think I asked you this but I asked someone else, if I'm adding an ARB bumper and a winch, will that be a problem?

you'll want to go manual hubs before you lift it, takes the extra strain off your CV's. the CV's can operate at a harsher angle under low speeds in 4x4, but any added angle (which the lift will create) adds strain on them when they are always spinning especially under high speeds. go with the WARN kit http://store.4wheelingplus.com/prodd...=28761&cat=139

i know lots of guys that run these and love them...easy to install as well. Winch bumpers can be heavy, but I know there a lots of guys that run the BJ spacer lift with those huge bumpers. I would just do some research on the kind of shocks you buy etc. and e-mail roger at 4crawler.com. that guys knows it all...
