suspension

ok i got a 91 p/u 4x4 v6 xcab. 160k miles. Its in the suspension component. I dont know what its called, so ill describe as best as i can. ok its on the drivers side, wheel in the front. when u turn or go over bumps, it makes a like stertch noise. like when im turning its making a stertching noise, that hannpened not to long ago. im not sure, but could be only the ball joint. because when i move it up and down, it makes a clicking noise, but i need to replace that. could that be the source of the stretchy noise. only happens when you turn, or go over bumps. also i got a problem when i turn the wheel all the way left or right, when it reach the limit, it makes a loud "krenk" noise. Or when u turn with the wheel all the way to one side and try make a u turn, makes a loud noise from the front end. it sounds like a kank, or something. thanks in advance

steering stops, dab some axle grease on them periodically, if those little plastic caps are there pop em off put some grease inside whatevers left of them and popem back on. That way the grease wont wash off as easy, and when the stops touch it will squeeze out some grease from whuts left of the cap.

Can you feel the Klunk? Or is it just a noise?

If you can feel the klunk then somethings binding and thats not good. I've never heard the steering stops making noise.
