yo guys
my surf gearbox which is a auto is dead ,it was driving fine then after a half hour stop we re started our journey when as we put it in drive there was nothing ,no gears will work and the A/TP light stays on the dashboard..
the oil is fine ,fully topped up and red in colour so no leaks ! ,it does scrunch now when you move the gear back into park position ,but as i say b4 the breakdown there was no banging ,scrunching etc whatsoever
if any of you guys know what it could be apart from the obvious that the box is goosed as i live in hope it could be fail safe or something due to a valve in box stuck or sumfin else
its a 95 2nd gen 3 ltr ssrx

did the transfer case pop out of gear? does it move in 4lo?

 

depressed ,this seems to have disabled the gearbox ,i pushed button in moved to high and reversed it then moved ,i then put 4 b 4 knob into nuetral with button undepressed
veichle now driving normally again with no knocks or bangs
