If im buying parts from an individual that i met on yotatech and we are dealing through pay pal, how do i know for sure that he isnt going to just gonna rip me off? It might sound paranoid but on e bay atleast there is feedback options.

Check to see if they have feedback in the seller's forum here. Other than that, its trust in one another. Paypal will help you out if you get screwed though, so if your paranoid, keep a record of each email, pm etc.

I've also had great luck dealing with members here and on Pirate 4x4...
You just don't want to buy from the guy with 2 posts. If he's got several hundred posts you'll probably be fine. Someone with 2 or 3 thousand is almost guaranteed to be safe. Somewhere, sometime in that many posts he has given away where he lives and what his mom looks like...

I got ripped off once on a mustang forum once. After it happened, I ran his name in the search window and a whole list of threads on the guy came up. Since it was a US based seller, I reported it to the FBI as per the procedure. I didn't even get an acknowledgement email. A year later people were still complaining about the guy and still reporting him to no avail. FBI doesn't do squat for petty crime like this, so don't think that there is any real deterrent to criminals screwing people online.
All that said: If you've run his name and no one's been complaining and you're not spending hundreds it should be ok. Sometimes one must walk with their eyes open and have a little faith.

create an accout on photobucket.com (its free) upload it there and paste the [IMG] Code into here. If you want to change it even more, photobucket gives you an edit option to resize.... That, or just use MS Paint to resize it.

YT is a pretty good place for buying and selling which is due to the atmosphere of the forum itself. As stated check to see if there is any feedback on the individual already and check post count. Also check the individuals posts and threads as this will give you an even better idea of who you are dealing with. Honestly it may be better tact to not post the individuals username that you are questioning. If someone posted that up before making a transaction with me and posted my username, id walk away from the deal. But thats just me.

Its hard to know about others feedback on here sometimes. I've sold several items here and nobody put any feedback about it. As long as you trust the person and they are more than cooperative with you and you use paypal, you should be just fine
