Super Clean

As a few of you saw in my thread about my ISR mod, my engine bay was a dirty mess. I tried to clean it with everything from degreaser to hot water with no effect. But when Gonzo told me about SuperClean, made by castrol, i tried it today and all I can say is WOW! here are some before and after pics. if you have any questions feel free to ask.

It's goodstuff. I use it everywhere. Just be careful as it is a concentrate. Delute it for somethings like interior etc.
I also put a little in my laundry when I get my clothes real greasy etc.
Glad it worked for ya.

Why did you allow it to get that dirty?

Doesn't look that that happened in a few days.

Looks better though.

Hit it with some "303 Aerospace Protectant." Look what it did to my 166,000 mile motor:

And no, this truck is not a street-queen.

and my old Supra turbo:

Just spray it on, walk away for 30 minutes and wipe up the residue. Done!

after you clean your engine use some formula 2001. Tire Wet can be flamable. Spray the engine compartment down with 2001 and let your engine run for a few minutes... it will dry it and you wont even need to wipe it down

Absolutely. I simply sprayed the engine down with water, used a light detergent cleaner (I think I used Simple Green) and gave the engine about a 10-minute brushing with a long-bristled brush. Hosed it off and drove it for a couple of days. Came back later and bombed it with 303. Thirty minutes later I wiped the leftover off the hoses and engine heat took care of the rest. I just did my 5VZ-FE a couple of months ago. Pic here.

I bought mine at a local kayak shop and have seen it at various boating supply stores. Think of it as the opposite of Armor-All; it actually provides protection from UV radiation rather than simply pulling the moisture out of plastic and rubber to create a shine. It is also available online. It turned my sun-bleached polyethylene kayak from pink back to its original bright red color.
