Stupid gear question

My 4runner ended up having a welded rear end. Something I do not want. So my question is, is a Yota chunk setup like a Dana axle and i can jsut repalce the spider gears or add a lockrite?

Thanks

I think Detroit is the only locker that replaces the whole carrier.

Are the Toyota side gears not repalceable? I am used to a Dana axle, this is first time going into a Toyota axle other than changing oil.

If you have IFS front you can't put the rear in the front.

You could pick up a factory 4.88 for fairly cheap
