87 4Runner SR5. Had a 22RE originally. Swapped in a 22RTE. What temperature does my current thermostat, which I believe is oem, open and close at? I'd like to replace it with one that opens and closes at a lower temperature.

The 22RTE is out of an 86 factory turbo truck.

Why would you want a thermostat that opens sooner? Stick with the oe temp

autozone.com says 180 is stock for 22r/22re/22rte.

you may have issues with the system entering closed loop mode with anything colder.

Temperature is usually stamped on the t-stat flange.

My FSM says my 83's 22r thermostat opens at 190F stock. I saw it in there today when I was looking for something.
