still overheating after new radiator

well before i put my 2inch bodylift on, my truck overheted some, not on the red or nothin but past halfway. so i put a new radiator in it while i was doin the bodylift now its doin it mroe often. before the BL, i cud flip the heat on high and it would drop. now when i flip the heat it does nothin. i seen a post i think deathcougar posted on another thread like this but mine isnt overhating like the other guys was. i think it was gary9096 or sumn. any iders?

edit- i guess the title should be still overheating after new radiator. whooooops

are you sure you burped all the air out of the system? let it run in the driveway for awhile with the rad. cap off, rev it up a little once in awhile, add coolant as needed... it might take 5 minutes, it might take 30 minutes.

Did you install radiator drop brackets for the body lift? If not then thats your problem, not enough airflow.

Are you 100000x sure you got all the air out of the cooling system?

When does it overheat, in traffic or on the hwy?

Fan shroud got one? and its not just a peice of one right

Fan clutch, I would check this out. Get the truck to its normal temp and stop the motor and have somebody watch the fan. If it spins more then a revolution or so then its bad.

The fan does all the cooling in the city, it pulls the air across the rad. Stands to reason why it would get cool once you get moving.

I would replace the Thermostat and the fan clutch. Thermos can stick even when new, get one from Toy, or NAPA.
