ok guys, ive been trying to get this thing off for hours with no luck. i dont have a puller deal either, just want to know if you guys had any ideas. this stupid thing was the wrong mounting kit for my grant steering wheel but i just said, screw it, ill jerry rig it. well, i want to put my old steering wheel off and i cant get this mount deal off. here are a couple pics-

get out the sawsall and cut a slit in it, then use a flat head screw driver and open it up a little and pull off.

 

i thought about that, its pretty thick though. i would have to go almost all the way to the bolt there. its a possibility though

 

or how bad are the threads on the part? use a plate of metal and drill 3 holes at the same spots as the threads and use the bolts and tighten them down little by little and it should start pulling it off, or run to the auto parts store and rent the puller from them.

Can ya take some pics of what's behind that block?
I've got a short in my horn circuit and I believe there's a ring contact or something behind there that connects the horn on the wheel to the wiring on the column.

Is there any reason you can't just rent a puller from Advance? If you return it it won't cost you anything, and that's what it's designed to do. Am I missing something?

 

Ta Da!!!!!!!!!!!! go rent a damn puller and do it right. Or go to Harbor Freight and gt one for about $8
