starter question

Question starter question

im replaceing my cluch do i have to remove the starter. and if so whats some advise on taking it off

yes, you'll have to remove the starter in order to get the transmission separated from the engine.
disconnect the battery, remove the access plate inside the passenger's side wheel well, use 14mm socket w/ extension and swivel if necessary. if you don't need to get the starter out of the engine bay, don't worry about the wires except to make sure you don't damage the plugs, etc.

I didn't have a wobble extension, but I had about 5 6" extensions. The slack that resulted in all those extensions attached provided just enough wobble to get the socket onto the bolt.

Remove the skid plate and go in from the front for that one bolt, its a pita.
The other nut (its on a stud) is a little easier. I found a smallish extension provided enough room to slowley loosen and remove the nut (the nut and stud came off when I did it...).

I would consider throwing some new starter contacts in at this time, that starter can be a pain to remove
