I left him alone until he started posting all that and whining about it.

I even went out to dinner and didn't hop on yt until 10! He somehow knew I was coming....

Hey I talked to the LT at station 3 today. He's going to think about it and get you a price. I told him you already have the tint. Me and him are usually at the station wed-fir and some weekends. Call me and you can use the rescue bay to work on it.

Of and the satisfaction you get from doing it your self is well worth the effort.

thank Miles, i think im going to keep putting this crappy tint on and see how it works ( more or less just to give me something to do ) , but i will more than likely end up pulling in off and ordering some better quality film. also like i mentioned above this film is REALLY thick, i mean i know its 5% but even the 5% on my brothers Z71 isnt this thick, so could this be a contributing factor to why its so hard to see out of at night? i would really love to keep the 5% it looks bad a$$ but not if i wont be able to see. but thanks again for all you guys help, hope to get it done soon. oh and Miles if i could get someone to ride down there with me, i would definitely take you up on using the rescue bay!

When you buy some different tint go on you tube and search on tinting windows. There are a bunch of videos from the pros on how to tint and shrink.

If you buy a good brand then it is easier to see through from the inside than the cheap stuff. Something with the dye the crappy manufactures use. I agree with dirtoyboy....I would not want to wheel at night with 5% tint...way to hard to see your sides and rear. I think it makes seeing forwards easier since no light is coming in anywhere else distracting you, but that is just me.

5% does really decrease your visibility at night, but the rewards definitely out weigh the risks. so does anyone know about that tint i asked about on the last page?

I wouldn't buy it, listing is full of typos, it doesn't list the brand of it, and he doesn't even spell "vinyl" right in ebay name or email

what rewards are there with 5%, sorry if I missed that somewhere earlier

well for starters it looks bad a$$, it helps to keep your truck a lot cooler, and if you have your windshield done it can help to prevent your dash from cracking.

ahh, yep, make sure that any stuff you buy is actually good for blocking sun, and not trapping it, a lot of the cheaper films do not keep out as many rays as a better quality, regardless of light transmission rating. If you have your windsheild done, make sure you (or a pro) do a darn good job since it sometimes can be a bit blurry... =)

ooh, and something I couldn't stop thinking about, it's a really dumb question, but when you mention your film is super thick, you are taking the clear film off of it when you apply right? exposing the slightly sticky part that adheres to the window???
