start button

I am having a problem with the ignition in my 90 toyota truggy. It has no key, you just start it with a screw driver, the part of the ignition that you put the key in is long gone, and that is fine. Here is the problem. It starts and runs just fine but when you let the "key" turn back to 'run' it dies. I can hold the "key" between 'start' and 'run' without the starter turning and it runs but as soon as it goes back to 'run' it dies. So my question is, how do I go about hooking up a start button and kill switch? There are 6 wires coming out of the back of the ignition switch, I need to know which ones go to the kill switch and which ones go to the start button. please feel free to ask any question you need to that might help.
