Oh, I see. Shall we start calling your rig "red headed stepchild"?

Fuel filter's on the pass side of the motor right near the starter. Fuel pump's in the tank. There's a hatch lid under the rear seat to get to it.

wow, hatch under the seat, thats awesome. this thing is looking better every day. it was such a bitch changing the distributor cap in my volvo 740 turbo the other day. it was not even an inch away from the firewall. everything on this truck seems pretty easy to get to.

The fuel filter is kind of a pain to get to, still. You have to pull the access panel off under the pass side fender to get to it (four 10mm hex bolts......you'll see it). This, of course, means either squeezing yourself in there over the tire or pulling the tire off to make it easier. Then, doing some yoga hand maneuvers to get around the jungle of hoses and wires to get your wrenches to it. But, once it's done, it's done and you shouldn't have to mess with it for a while afterwards. If you're feeling crafty (get ready....inexpensive, simple mod.....relatively), you can relocate the filter to the frame or something. Personally, I wouldn't bother, though. Yoga's good for you.

Banging your head on the wall wont make your hair grow back any faster, it will only make you skinnier.
