Speedometer cable install

I have been searching for instructions on how to install my new speedo cable (80 bucks from the stealership) and I can't find it in my Chiltons book. Anyone know of a link to instructions. I don't think it's that hard, you just take the dash off and some other stuff. I just want to know exactly what I am going to be doing when I take everything apart. Thanks.

Also I am going to be getting my rock sliders put on tomorrow, I'll post up pictures tomorrow. And if anyone wants me to make a how to thread for the speedo cable install w/pictures, I will.

I'm not sure if this will be the same as the 3.0 but I think it should be. the Firewall fitting for the speedo is a pain. The parking brake cable passes through the speedo firewall bracket. See link above.

That link is a pretty good description of how the speedo cable is replaced. I replaced mine in a couple of hours.

Thanks for the link. I ended up just taken the dash all apart and doing it as I went. I'm an expert now on installing and unistalling the dash peices, It seemed like when I got done there was always that one screw laying there that I forgot to put in. I put together and took apart the dash 3 times. I guess I should pay more attention, oh well. Got the cable installed with no problems minus the dash.
