whistling
Hey everyone,
I have a '92 4runner and am getting a whistling sound when I set the vent on recirculate (instead of fresh air) at freeway speeds. I think the ventillation system is working fine and all the vents work. What is the best way to track down the sound without tearing apart the whole system? Is there a seal somewhere that I can replace and how would I tell that it is leaking (since it only whistles at speed)?
Thanks,
J

unfortunately I do not have any answer advise for this, BUT I found this post while searching for my issue, which happens to be the same, anyone have any pearls of wisdom on this subject?

I would bet it's at the fresh/recirc valve or whatever you would call it. If its not closing all the way it would defintiely whistle at highway speeds...
I dunno where it's at though.
