Something else to do is while it's at idle you can pull each plug wire one at a time and see if anything changes. If you pull one and it doesn't change the idle then you have a dead hole which could mean a bad plug or wire.

I must admit here that I know nothing about the 3.0.....

I remember last night when i parked it there was coolant sitting on the driver side head where the injectors are seated because i was draining coolant from where it passes through the TB. So that has to have caused some kinda problem because everything was good until it sat over night with the coolant sitting there. so confused.......

Crap. That sounds like a head gasket.

was there any coolant on any of the electrical connectors? if so I would get some of that electrical contact cleaner and clean any plugs that had gotten coolant on it. WD40 would work also but the actual contact cleaner works best. coolant can corrode electrical terminals fairly quick.

What were you doing when you drained coolant from the T.B.? My 22RE ran really bad at idle and smoothed out at higher RPM's. Drove me crazy for weeks. Turned out to be a significant vacuum leak screwing up the flow through the MAF. Hopefully it's something simple with the #4 cylinder.

i found the problem, will post pictures tomorrow, i had a feeling it was the injector(s). #4,#3 were clogged to the max with dirt you will see in the pic tomorrow, i guess thats what happens when you got a fuel filter from 1992 the day the truck was born....I bought the truck one month ago, it was sitting for a year so i did all the basic maintenance. so it went trough its first full tank of gas pretty much today and thats when all this happened. so i knock on wood that this takes care of it. oh ya maybe some suggestions on things to do while i got everything apart........
