I will be putting my bj spacers on tommorow and was wondering if anybody had some pointers on installing them, to make my life easier.

I will rent a bj seperator tommorow from autozone.

just wondering if anybody had some trouble installing them?

maybe some pb blaster or penetrating oil just in case

 

the only thing we had to do was unbolt the upper BJ from the upper A-Arm and cut the back of the A-arm. http://4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/Docs...er_HowTo.shtml

 

yeah thats all you gotta do. the studs can be a pain to knock out if you dont spray them a bunch...but other than that just make sure you don't overextend the cv's or else it can be a pain to get everything lined up again.

 

I used a large socket between the upper A arm and the upper bump stop when the suspension was compressed... then jacked it up, unbolted upper ball joint and the lowers fell down left plenty of room for grinding.

You dont need the BJ seperator

 

I just installed mine last weekend and all I can say is make sure you compress your Tbar as much as you can. Then put a 2x4 ir somthing in the upper bump stop to keep it up there. I did not make mine high enough and it was a pain in the ass.

i was wondering, does anybody have any pictures of the bj spacers installed & uninstalled?

 

Here's mine.Im running 33 x 12.5 on 10" MT rims.1" body,diff drop and stabilizer drop.lift shackles in the rear.I slacked the torsion bars, removed the shock and the steering stabilizer. I installed a pair of Pro-Comp shocks that is longer than Ranchos that came with the truck.

just dont leave the shock in when you're doing it, i cut through one
