Soft clutch pedal

So i was thinking its time to bleed my clutch, its been gettign kinda soft lately, there is plenty of fluid in the tank. So in this repair manual i bought at an auto parts store it says, turn the bleeder screw under the truck half a turn and have someone depress the pedal quickly, then tighten it back up, repeat if needed.

Does that sound like the best way to do it? Should i just bleed it like im bleeding brakes (pump, hold, bleed, repeat)?

yeah bleed it like u would bleed brakes...if it dosen't get better after bleeding, it could be the master or slave.they can go bad without leaking...if u fix those and still too soft then it's time for a new clucth...you are better off replaceing thr master and slave if bleeding dosen't fix it cause it's cheaper and easier than doing a clucth, but they may not be the problem

the clutch doesn't just "get soft"

You need to locate the problem and fix it, before just bleeding the brakes.

It has always been "soft" but i guess its just how toyotas are, I drive alot of manual cars on a daily basis (i detail cars) so every clutch is different.

I did bleed it today and there was just a bunch of air in the line, alot of air bubbles came out the tube in to the clear container full of brake fluid.

DC is correct when saying the clutch doesn't just "get soft".... which is why he said to find the problem. If nothing is wrong, the clutch should not be 'soft'.

If you bled it and found air in the system... there is a reason, rather cause, for the air to be in there.... which is what DC was saying.
