Long story short, I've been needing to replace my rear wheel bearings for a long while now, and I have the chance to get them pressed off and on tomorrow morning for free, so I tore it apart tonight, and I thought I'de share what I found...

I don't know how I managed to keep the axles on the truck, lol
so what cha thinkin, need to be replaced?
btw, the orange car you see parked beside my truck, that's the other project; 69 Nova getting a heart transplant... losing the crate 350 for a punched out 454

lol, yep, almost 290k on those bearings...
and yeah, the shoes have seen their fair share of mud; they got replaced along with all the hardware...
pulling the tires and drums and spraying out the brakes is going to be part of washing my truck after trail runs from now on; it's been a while since I've had them apart
So the new bearings are on, along with all new seals, and OH MAN what a diference! Completely silent (aside from the noise my worn tires make); they where making some god awful roaring before. Take the noise you can hear them make in the video, and X's that by about 5, and that's about all you heard at 55mph and up...
all in all, not a terribly hard job, so long as you have access to a press or can have someone press them off anf on for you, and you know how to put the brakes back together...
