lol yeah thats the way i look at it, it may be a demanding job but they pay you to do what not alot of people ever get to do haha but i'm going to basic in camp pendleton
i got the receipt for my motor faxed into the insurance company and they offered me $4200 dollars for my truck!!! i think i had about 3000 max into it lol i'm pretty happy about that and i found an 84' yota thats pretty much like mine was but way cleaner and its the SR5 it even has power windows!! i'll post pics of it as soon as i get the chance

MCRD is the nicest by far... out of all the bases ive been on.
Never, ever go to Mugu NAS, Lemoore NAS, or NVBC Port Hueneme. All the bases down in san diego are very nice. Got to stay for 2 weeks on LHD Bonne Homme Recharde (forgot spelling)... that was cool working with LCACs

I have to add my condolences on the truck. My truck is a total POS but if it got totaled I would be SO pissed. Glad to hear everyone is okay especially your friend in the bed, that is hella scary to think about what could have happened.
I say buy the truck back and turn it into a trail truck and buy a 4Runner for your DD so that way your friends can ride in the cab with a seat belt!

so here's the pics that i could get of the yota that i am getting next week on tuesday;

lol so i mentioned that its an 84' but what i didn't say is that its pretty much in perfect condition. have any of you seen an 84 with power windows and a power retractable antenna?? i was kinda surprised but the interior is in awesome condition no cracks anywhere it has the stock seats that are in amazing condition the carpet is still really good its a 5 speed with the 22R in it and only has 140K miles on it! tell me what you think. i'm thinking that i came out of this situation pretty good

everyone keeps sayin that lol i personally like it but i am going to take it off for daily driving, it does have some benefits tho like keepin your huntin stuff dry, keep stuff from getting stolen which doesn't happen very often anyways where i live. but i'll be sure to post some pics when i get it next week

Ouch. I can sympathize with totalling your truck with friends in the bed... Good luck with the insurance man. Been like two months since I rolled my truck and I'm STILL fighting with the insurance... (Probably because they said my truck is worth $1900 with a "generous" $200 allowance for my "dime a dozen" lift. I said OK, and faxed them I think 4 receipts totalling close to $14k, written appraisals by offroad truck specialized dealerships, and said my attorney will be speaking to you.

Besides, camper tops on lifted trucks look kinda cool

Sorry to hear about your accident, good to know you are all more or less ok...
When I got rear-ended I had my truck towed to my mech./body man and had the appraiser go there... [tow operater said, "ins. will probably write it off since it's more then 10 yrs old"]... the local appraiser is a customer of my guy and knows what the real value of our trucks is... they fixed it...
you need to ask yourself "do I really want my old truck back or do I want to get something a little newer, a little better...maybe get a runner with a back seat so my buds are safer..." [just razzin you a bit no offense] around here it is illegal to carry more pax then you have seat belts for, and riding in the bed is a complete no no...
Congrats on your Marine training Semper Fi and thanks for your service...
fwiw I thought all troops went through basic at Parris Island these days?
If a toyota is "totaled" would it not be more correct to say it was "yotaled"?

That law is totaly useless here in california, i see people on there cell phones every day and they never get stopped or ticketed. Ive seen people drive by cops in there cars using there cell phones in plain sight and the cops just keep going.

If you believe in your truck... she will believe in you.... you gotta talk to your truck... tell her to do good baby... take me home safe baby... name her(gotta be girl name) and call her that... treat her nice and she will save your life and take you home time and time again... if your mean to it she will be mean to you.... remember this......
