So close to AC I could feel it!

Thanks. I am just scared the PO may have drained it and never put oil back into it and I don't want to run it w/o oil. When I got it it had the 134a adapters attached. I figure I'll just take it somewhere and tell them if they can fix it for cheap then do it. If not then I'll use the 265 coolant.

I was planning on a new dryer... probabaly from ACkits.com..
and driving to sanoma from san Diego end of June, with the wife so AC will be a must..
ozziesironmanoffroad I can help you out if you want with the AC..
I don't have all the tools though..
turborich, it was the fact that the tube was worn all the way down to about nothing that blew the line.. the oval silvery part in the first pic is were the grill had worn through the line.. the pressure just made the wear make a pressure release point..

you may now return to your regularly scheduled a/c lesson.

MAN the days i long for AC..
Lol
Actually im thinking about turning my ac into OBA. It comes down to wants/needs.
Sure i want both, but the system isn't hooked up on mine for 1, and for two. there is still alot of crap i would have to do to get it to work. Plus i think OBA would be a better investment for myself personally.

If my AC system is going to take a bunch of work to fix I'm going to use it for OBA.

Yea.
Well when i got my truck origionally it had a 3.0 and had a fire. which burned up the ac system i believe.
so now that i have the 3.4 swap done, and the system hasn't worked for over 1.5 years ill just go ahead and make it OBA i think.
im not sure how hard that will be to do though. I guess ill find out if i ever get around to it.

Nice! I've never heard of the nitrogen thing. I just put my vac pump on it and let it suck for like 10-15 minutes. I've had to work on so many different A/C systems I just decided to buy an el-cheapo kit off ebay with the guage set and vac pump and it's paid for itself already. My 4Runner blows sno-cones out of the vents all day long and I love it. Good thing too because it's supposed to be 110* tomorrow.
