smokin

My 22re has developed an intermittent cylinder. It happens when I first turn it on and its cold and sometimes when cruising at 60-70 in 5th and I have to push into the throttle very much. I think it's the #3 cylinder and it has a very white sparkplug, the other plugs look nice. Could it be an injector?

I also just very recently changed the timing chain, oil pump, and water pump. But just today when I turned it on it started to belch either bluish or whitish smoke, lots of it, and it stopped when it warmed up. I checked the oil and it was down half a quart. What the crap happened?

Does it look like a milkshake, and did you check the coolant?

yeah, no milkshake action. Don't see evidence of blown head gasket on the sides either, but I can't see that much anyhow.

Could well be a clogged injector. Running lean means running hot. It'll clean the plug and even leave the insulator shiny and glazed. If it continues, it can melt electrodes.
