Which one?!
I am tempted to just buy a new TPS since they seem to have problems with most people. They are only $75 from Toyota Dallas. Like I said my static testing with the feeler gauges check out fine. Not too sure about the sweep test...
The Toyota mechanic I took it too kept saying "this is going to be a tough one to diagnose"... Ugh.

Still trying to figure this one out obviously.
Just a tid bit of information.
Today when I pulled the PCV hose when the truck was running (WARM) it cut off completely. Now I know its supposed to stumble and not run that well, but WHY would the engine cut off!!?? Doesn't seem right to me.
Also I have been searching lots still and it seems there is a lot of problems after people rebuild their heads, but I don't see much in the way of people posting back what solves their problems.
Vacuum reading on the intake is about 20 inches. What could cause the engine to cut out when the PCV hose would be removed?

HOLY CRAPPPPPPPPPP
I think I figured it out.... I HOPE?
Disconnected the TPS and... Misfire is gone and power is back.
Even though I tested the TPS on and off the vehicle SEVERAL times and all the ohm readings were dead on.
Looks like I'll be buying a new one.
Thanks for the help guys.

So can anyone confirm my assumption that the TPS is done for?
When I remove the TPS, the idle is smooth as silk, and my misfire is gone.
The timing goes way advanced when I remove it. Its off the chart....but the idle is smooth?!
I already ordered a new one...I'll report later with results.

I've got a great PM from Thook about this issue.
My question still remains for others, is that if you disconnect the TPS and the truck runs better, is it safe to assume that you should replace it (If you've triple checked that it is well in spec).
Are there any other tests that need to be preformed besides testing the resistance? Voltage test possibly across VCC and E2 to make sure I'm getting a full 12V...I dont know anything else?

Well I'm waiting for a new TPS from Toyotapartsales in the mail.
Its annoying because there are SO many posts about TPS being out of adjustment...however it is in perfect adjustment. I also know the TPS is "working" because when I jump the TE1 and E1 ports the timing retards as its supposed to. The dynamic and static tests are checking out.
I also have read a million posts about disconnecting the TPS and finding that the truck runs better, but have not found ONE person say that replacing the TPS fixed their problem.
I guess I'll find out myself after I get the new one, and will be sure to post back results.
