slip yoke, interchangeable?

I bent the flange beating out an old U joint. Found a used slip yoke, still attached to the flange, on ebay. The ujoint on this used part is still good. To save me some time, can I just slide this new slip yoke into my existing driveshaft and bolt on? or is that a bad idea?

It may or may not have the exact same u-joint(same size, but possibly different slightly in design internally as far as bearing size and/or greaseable vs. non) . But I'm pretty sure all 86-95 trucks and 4Runner driveshafts use the same slip yokes, size and spline count wise. Even 2WD, I believe.
