Have you ever driven another truck with a locker? Out on the trails you don't notice anything, but back on the street you notice all kinds of slop, banging, tire chirping depending on how you drive it.
I'm not so sure you have a problem at all.

got it out it has half the slack that it did think you are right no problem im going to this while its out http://www.gearinstalls.com/freshen.htm

ok got that done lets talk about front end front end will make sound sometime when you have hubs locked and not in 4 wheel drive like a grlowing sound but when you pull it to 4 high it will stop

Is the noise coming from the front diff or the transfer case? Again not necessarily abnormal.
