Silla All aluminum radiator installed...
A few weeks ago I decided I was in need of a new radiator so I did some looking around and ended up getting the Silla all aluminum radiator off of ebay.
This is the one I bought off of ebay…(Sellers ID = radiatorclassic)

Although the auction claims that it’s for a 3.0, I was able to make it work on my 22RE without much issue.
This was the thread that helped make my decision for me…(thanks to xxxtreme22r)…

un-boxed…all in all I think they did a very good job making this thing considering the cost.
The new radiator was slightly taller…
Because the Silla was a taller I had to make some other mounting brackets so I could lower the radiator. With the placement of the existing mounting holes the radiator sits too high and the hood won’t close. I didn’t want to cut into my hood so I looked at other options.
The only other issue I ran into was that the skid plate was hitting the bottom of the radiator and I could barely bolt the skid plate back up. So I found where it was hitting and cut some channels out on the skid plate with my rotozip and dremel tools…
If you buy this radiator on ebay take note that it doesn’t come with a radiator cap. I had to search for one that would fit properly and found that the Stant 10327 works great.
Performance-wise, I’m very impressed with it. I’ve noticed much cooler temps. It normally runs at or around the 150 degree mark on most days.
I will note that I also run an oversized SPAL cooling fan as well. My old radiator usually ran anywhere from 180 to 210+, depending on the outside temp.
Here’s a picture of my temp gauges yesterday when the temperature outside was 92 degrees! water temp is the bottom gauge...reading about 160 degrees, give or take. You’ll also notice my trans temp was quite high as well. I was pulling a trailer with about 600 lbs on it and just got off the freeway driving around 70/75 mph average…
Total install time: about 2 hrs (could've been quicker but I took my time).
I've been driving the past 2 1/2 weeks with it now and haven't found any issues yet. Bottom line, I think it was a very good buy, especially since it was under $100 bucks.
Thanks for looking.

No fan shroud?
No fan shroud?
Like I mentioned above, I'm using a SPAL fan.
