Side mirror replacement question
My passenger side mirror got busted out by some debris on the freeway. I've searched, checked all the local parts stores, but I'm having trouble locating the replacement glass. I've found a few online stores that sell the whole mirror assembly for a decent price. But I'd rather just buy the glass.
I'm sure quite a few people here have had busted mirrors. Has anybody found a source for replacement glass? Dealer part #? I've been checking ebay. I haven't been to my local junk yard yet, but will go as a last resort. Any help is appreciated.

Alright, I just found the part # for the replacement glass on the toyota of dallas web site www.toyotapartsales.com. Instead of deleting this thread, I'll post the information for future reference.
95 4runner passenger side power mirror (glass only) part # 87917-89157 ($23.22).

For what it's worth another option worth considering - there is an outfit that sells retrofit mirror glass giving you a wider view. http://www.multivexmirror.com/
These things tend to get rave reviews from the motorcycle sport touring crowds but apparently take a bit of getting used to (couple of hours).
$36 per side.

TryThis- When I had to replace the non-powered mirror on my '89 I had two dealerships (one of which I trust) tell me that you could not just replace the glass, but had to replace the whole mirror assembly. I ended up getting a non-factory one ($35, I think). Looks the same, but it's made of a cheaper plastic than the one it replaced.

1993 SR5 driver side mirror-Glass Only!!
I am looking for a left driver side mirror - glass only w/o backing plate for a power mirror for a 1993 Toyota pickup. I can find the whole replacement mirror for the power mirror but not just the glass with attached electronic mechanism. On the busted one I can see the two little plastic arms that attach the glass to the mirror backing are both broken. So, all I need is a new glass part to plug in and then snap into place. I can find glass only part for the same year of truck but only for the manual mirror. Any advice?
