So, on my '95 I've been thinking about painting the chrome side mirrors black. I have searched thread that say how to prep and paint bu i haven't seen a thread to remove the mirror itself not the whole assembly....the chrome piece looks liek it just has maybe a few clips and screws holding it on, but i can't really get in there good enough to tell....any help would be greatly appreciated!

yea that's what it's looking like, i really didn't want to do that but it looks like the best option...

 

Just mask off the truck in that area and the mirror... 3m green tape.
